Wearing now

See active pieces, exposure tags and quick actions like Log issue, End wear and Add care.

Care due

Notice items with recurring tarnish, clasp stiffness, irritation notes or long gaps since care.

Recent signals

Turn daily notes into useful reminders about shine, storage and repeated issues.

Collection-first care path

A practical loop for jewelry wear, storage and upkeep.

Shine Keep is not a shop catalog or resale tool. It is a personal memory for how specific pieces behave after real use.

1

Add pieces

Create jewelry profiles with type, material, finish, body zone, storage and optional photo.

2

Start wear

Track active wear sessions with exposure tags like water, perfume, lotion, sweat or sleep.

3

Log issues

Record tarnish, irritation, clasp stiffness, dull stones, snagging or other observations.

4

Add care

Save wipes, polish, rinse, deep clean, dry storage, backing replacement and storage changes.

5

Review condition

See repeated patterns only when enough real history exists.

Wear

The daily screen starts with what is currently on you.

Wear shows active sessions, care due items and recent signals so the user can quickly end a wear session, add a care action or log an issue.

Wearing now Care due Recent signals Start wear session Add first item
W

Active wear sessions

An item is active when it has a wear session without an end time. Multiple pieces can be active together.

E

Exposure tags

Water, Perfume, Lotion, Sweat, Sleep, Shower, Sea and Pool help explain future shine and issue patterns.

S

Storage snapshots

Every wear session keeps the storage method snapshot that was true at the time.

Items and Journal

Each piece has its own living history.

The catalog is piece-centric, while Journal combines wear sessions, issue events and care actions into one chronological flow.

I

Items

Profiles include title, type, material, finish, body zone, closure, storage method, notes and favorite state.

J

Journal

Wear, Issue and Care events stay typed, searchable and filterable in one timeline.

P

Photos stay local

Optional images are stored in the app sandbox, while models keep only relative file paths.

B

Best shine retention

Ranks pieces by how many wear sessions they survive after care before visible tarnish or low shine appears.

H

High-maintenance items

Shows pieces that need care more often per 10 completed wears.

R

Reaction patterns

Groups personal irritation observations by body zone, material and exposure tags without medical claims.

S

Storage comparisons

Uses historical storage snapshots from wear sessions, not just the current item profile.

Condition

Useful condition summaries without fake certainty.

Condition hides blocks when there is not enough history. It uses ranked cards, compare rows and simple indicators rather than heavy charts or invented conclusions.

Reliable everyday items Storage comparisons Skin reaction patterns Maintenance rate Common pairings

Offline architecture

Designed as a compact local iPhone utility.

Shine Keep is planned for iOS 16+ with SwiftUI, TabView, NavigationStack and UserDefaults + Codable storage. It avoids accounts, cloud sync, social features, marketplaces, AI, OCR and external APIs.

Five sections: Wear, Items, Journal, Condition and Settings
Local store: JewelryPiece, StorageMethod, WearSession, IssueEvent and CareAction
Export and import through a JSON snapshot with schema version
Optional local photos handled by ShineKeepImageStore
